The Electron Hall is an area that’s off limits to all but the specially trained personnel who build, maintain, and operate the one of a kind linear accelerator inside. With the recent use of LiDAR to develop experimental media we’ve been able to expand access to newest areas of the lab.
The images below have been derived from LiDAR scans of the electron hall. They have been captured as high density point clouds, consisting of 2.5-billion points. The 360 degree images let you pan, zoom, and select points of interest to learn more about this ground breaking science apparatus.
